About Maisy
A tiny fighter with a big future
Some animals arrive at RSPCA WA needing more than shelter. They need someone to fight for them. Like Maisy.
Maisy was only days old when she arrived at RSPCA WA. She was tiny, fragile and completely dependent on others to survive.
Her mum was very unwell and unable to care for Maisy and her siblings, leaving them vulnerable at the most critical stage of their lives. Without urgent support, their future was uncertain.
At an age when she should have been safely tucked beside her mother, Maisy instead needed round-the-clock care from people determined to give her a chance.
Thanks to supporters who give regularly, Maisy was given a fighting chance.
Maisy received expert care, warmth, nourishment and constant attention, everything a growing puppy needs to survive and thrive. At every small milestone, she grew stronger.
Day by day, her fighting spirit began to shine through.
What was once a tiny, vulnerable puppy, became a playful, energetic young dog full of life and possibility.
Today, Maisy is thriving - a reminder that even the smallest lives can have the biggest futures when someone chooses to care.

A gentle heart who thought she’d lost everything
Not all animals arrive at RSPCA WA in physical pain.
Some arrive with broken hearts. Like Misty.
Raised from a puppy, Misty had always known the comfort of home and the love of her family. But when they could no longer care for her, Misty suddenly lost everything she had ever known.
Through no fault of her own, she was left behind.
"The kennels were loud, I felt so alone."
Confused, frightened and anxious, Misty arrived at RSPCA WA feeling lost. For a dog who had spent her whole life surrounded by love, the unfamiliar sounds of the shelter were overwhelming. The kennels were loud. The days felt long. And for the first time in her life, Misty felt truly alone.
